Inspired by the technology in Roland's flagship GP Series grand pianos, the Piano Reality Sound Engine captures the depth, detail, and tonal character of an acoustic piano. Combining premium sampled sounds with selected modeling technologies from our high-end instruments, you'll encounter smooth response, natural resonance, and rich dynamics.
An enhanced built-in speaker system with a newly designed layout delivers clear, spacious sound, with increased depth and richness in the low register. Hear more of your playing, from delicate details to powerful, expressive dynamics.
A piano should respond to every nuance of a player’s individual style, allowing the sound to emerge from the instrument in its clearest form. The FP-40 delivers an authentic piano experience with outstanding action for greater musical control.
At the heart of the FP-40 is Roland's acclaimed PHA-4 Standard keyboard, combining fully weighted hammer action, escapement, and Ivory Feel keys with exceptional responsiveness for a natural, expressive playing experience.
The triple-sensor technology in the FP-40 key action offers faster, more accurate note repetition for trills, plus increased responsiveness compared to the dual sensors found in other instruments. This is a piano you won’t outgrow as your skills develop.
Start with the music you love and let progress follow. Integrated with the FP-40, Piano Sphere encourages learning through play, combining popular songs, personalized guidance, and feedback to help keep you motivated and engaged.
